The Misses Watts: March-i-ness

It's been a busy month!

I don't know what I'm saying. I'm always busy. Forever and ever busy.

I don't like this picture of me. I look like I'm 70. I remind myself of my Grandma Frohlich in this picture. I never would have thought I looked like her, but the smile and nose are giving me those vibes (I don't mind that part I just don't want to look nearly twice my age).

Two days after Harrison's birthday, Emilia had a choir concert. Steve was able to go listen to her sing, but apparently didn't take any pictures. He did say Emilia's choir was the best one out of all the choirs that night.

Three days after Harrison's birthday, me, Steve, Harrison and Emilia flew to Washington. It was a scouting mission. Steve and I feel God is directing us to move there, but we weren't sure where in the Seattle area we would want to settle. Steve's sister Nicole and her family live there, so we were able to stay with them and get insight to different parts of Seattle suburbia.

These are the only two pictures I took on that entire trip. It was super successful. We were able to rule out where we didn't want to live, zero in on things we liked and wanted, and . . .

five days after coming home, decided to buy a new build house like 4 blocks from the Nelsons. We are under contract with Richmond American Homes and should be able to move at the end of this year or the beginning of next. We're all hoping sooner rather than later.

I took Jules to DI while Mira was at gymnastics the next week and she found these glasses in the toy section. She is funny and adorable and I adore her.

This was her hair the next Sunday. She wanted a picture so she could see what it looked like.

Jules, walking into the living room (I thought she was napping): Mom, I hadda go potty and I tried pulling my pants up, but now my panties are in a twist.

Harrison adores all of his sisters. He's definitely a momma's boy, but he's got a lot of love to go around. He and Mira were swapping belly button pokes one day. He was SO fascinated.

I needed to put my bangs up because they were bugging me and used my phone because we weren't at home. Mira took a picture. And I don't look 70. So yay.

We went to see Cassie as Toodles in her elementary school rendition of Peter Pan. It was so cute and she didn't seem nervous at all. We were so glad we could go!

I feel like half my life is stopping Harrison from making a mess, hurting himself, or eating something he shouldn't, or cleaning up/comforting after he's already done one of those things.

Surprisingly, he didn't actually create this mess. Jules did. But it wasn't even her fault the cover of the perler bead bin wasn't put on tightly and when she picked it up, it just dropped on the floor. Thousands and thousands of perler beads all over the kitchen right in the middle of eating my breakfast. Harrison did crawl over afterward and joyously start throwing in the air the ones that weren't spilled.

On the 28th, Mira turned 11! She requested a Wings of Fire birthday and a chocolate Oreo cake.

Cecily helped decorate and even made Mira a crown to wear. The kids did a quiz to find out which tribe they belonged to, figured out their dragon name, then "warring tribes" competed in relay games to win candy. To test their flying skills, they each folded a paper airplanes and shot them with rubberbands to see whose could fly the farthest. Then it was cake and presents time. We sent everyone home with a golden "dragon" egg with candy in it. With a bunch of 11 year olds, it was a super easy party. All I had to do was explain the games, hand out candy, and supervise.

I love having Mira around. She's super responsible, loves playing with her younger siblings, helps out whenever she can, has an amazing sense of fashion, has two boys as her best friends, and loves making people laugh. She's sensitive and gets HANGRY easily and would make an excellent Youtube star. We love her!

Next week we are going on vacation over spring break to visit the Staleys and my parents (who are living with the Staleys for a while). We're all excited to see them and spend a week playing.

Harrison developed a cough the other day and today he started wheezing. Poor kid had a fever, too. I think it's probably RSV based on those symptoms. I feel bad for him. But I also don't mind him being sleepy for my solo 8 hour car trip with all the kids.
