This baby LOVES her grandparents. I think they might like her too.
Daddy playing computer games with his girls.
Emilia and her best friend Vivian after a recent big snow. It melted so fast, we could only make a mini snowman.
It is really hard to get Emilia to smile and look at the camera at the same time. Despite the looks on her face, she really enjoys taking baths with her sister. Mira, on the other hand, LOVES taking baths with her sister.
We didn't have Mira's birthday party on her actual birthday, so I made cupcakes to celebrate her official one-year-old-ness. She wasn't such a fan.

The Mall
University Mall in Orem redid their kids play area last year and during the winter months (and the REALLY hot summer months), it's a great way to entertain the kids for an hour or more.
She's so awesome. :D

Good friends
I've been feeling really blessed lately to have two little girls who, despite their almost 3-year difference in age, are pretty good friends already. They entertain each other and love each other. Emilia looks out for her baby sister and cooks up ways to make her giggle. Mira thinks Emilia is the best thing on the planet and wants to do everything she does and be near her all the time. Mira will sit and play for an hour as long as Emilia is nearby. They amaze me.
Emilia loves playing the game Pretty Pretty Princess. Mira decided she, of course, had to do what her sister was doing, so I let her help me spin and put the jewelry on her. Emilia won. But Bubby looked pretty adorable in all the stuff.
This is at one of Mira's check-ups. Emilia figured out that Mira liked the sound of the paper on the exam table/bed/thing.
I was in the bathroom one day getting ready and I heard Mira giggling. This is what I found when I went out to the livingroom:
One of Emilia's chores is to separate the clothes in her hamper into lights and darks when I do laundry. She can't reach the clothes at the bottom of the basket when it's standing up, so she lays it down. Bubby decided to help.

playing with my camera
I've decided I need to play with my camera more on full manual mode so I can get faster and more adept at it. After taking a few photos, I also decided that means I'll have to drag my camera with me everywhere because the lighting in my living room changes very little. So we'll see how far that actually goes. Until then, here a few of the photos I've taken.
She is just such a perfect subject! I can rarely resist.

Princess Tea Party
About 3 weeks ago, we went up to Logan to visit some friends. We had a good time playing Dominion and going out for dinner with our friend Marty.
I also got to see my friend Stacey and her daughter, Sadie. We took the girls to a princess tea party. Emilia went as Rapunzel, of course, and Sadie went as Cinderella.
They got to take pictures with all the "princesses," as well as do activities at each princess station. Here Emilia is bowling for a prize at Pixie Hollow (Tinkerbell). At Belle's they had finger sandwiches and cupcakes for the actual tea party.
Snow White had a (paper) mine for them to crawl through and find a jewel. Snow white gave them each a crown at the end. Cinderella's Prince Charming was handing out flower suckers, and the fairy godmother was reading stories.
At Rapunzel's, they got their fingernails painted and made a little Pascal. Emilia loved the "floating lights." At Arial's station, they got to fish for prizes and got to stand inside a bubble. It was pretty cool. I'm not sure Emilia like the bubble popping on her, though. :)
It was a good day for everybody.

A long, long time ago...
Quite a while ago, Megan, Elijah, Cari, Me, Mira, and Emilia all went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving point. The kids had a lot of fun...
playing with magnets,
learning about ancient crustaceans, crawling through tunnels, building dinosaurs,
creating skeletons,
pretending to be dinosaurs (this is the funniest picture! he looks crazy! :)),
and saying hi to dinosaurs.
They also always love playing in the water/sand, but I didn't get any pictures of that, unfortunately. All of us went again last week and had a blast again. Thanks, Megs!
